Release time: 2024-07-31

By signing and renewing the Principles for Responsible Investment, GIFP is committed to integrating this principle into all aspects of its professional development strategy, decision-making process, and organization operations. This means that GIFP will actively consider the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact of organization behavior, and strive to achieve a win-win situation between economic and social benefits.

In addition, GIFP's renewal of PRI also reflects its positive response to the global sustainability agenda. With increasing international attention to climate change, environmental protection, and social responsibility, responsible investment has become an important force to promote global sustainable development. By renewing the PRI, GIFP has not only set a good organization image for itself but also set an example for the entire industry and inspired more institutions to join the ranks of responsible investment.

Since 2023, GIFP has developed several key certification programs to meet the evolving needs of financial professionals. Among these are the Certified Green Finance Consultant (CGFC) and the ESG Chartered Investment Professional (ESG CIP) programs to combine the environmental, social and governance factors into financial considerations. These certifications are designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their respective fields and drive sustainable financial practices.

The other professional certification programs developed by GIFP are Certified Risk Management Officer (CRMO), Analyst of Quantitative Finance (AQF), Analyst of Financial Valuation (AFV) and the Family Pension Planner (FPP).

“We hope to have more in-depth cooperation with UNPRI." says Rick Arrowood, Chairman of GIFP.
