The AQFTM certification system is divided into two levels: Assistant Analyst of Quantitative Finance (AAQF) and Analyst of Quantitative Finance (AQF). The aim is to establish a more scientific, reasonable and comprehensive talent evaluation mechanism for candidates with different industrial backgrounds and occupational requirements.

Certification Requirements

In recent years, the Greater financial industry has been continuously reforming and innovating, and the FinTech industry is also developing rapidly. With the development and application of Artificial Intelligence, BlockChain, Cloud, Big Data and other emerging technologies, FinTech is reshaping the financial industry ecology with a rapid momentum, and "no technology, no finance" has become an industry consensus. In view of this, building a training and certification device for quantitative financial professionals has become increasingly urgent. To match the needs of quantitative financial analysis, the AQFTM certification system suggests a "5E" model for quantitative financial professionals, namely Ethics, Education, Examination, Experience and Enhancement.

Ethics. Due to the high-risk nature of the financial industry, the professional ethics of the employees has a direct bearing on the healthy development of the industry as well as the sustainability of the Greater financial market.

Education. Theoretical learning and practical training are the cornerstones of capacity cultivation for the quantitative financial professionals. The content of education should include quantitative investment theories, Python for data analysis, quantitative strategies backtesting and quantitative trading platforms.

Examination. Candidates who meet the standards should pass a strict examination, which is an important approach to test their level of professionalism in quantitative financial analysis.

Work Experience. Putting theory into practice is vital in the capability model. It is an important part of the certification to have quantitative financial analysis or relevant working experiences according to different educational backgrounds.

Enhancement. Quantitative financial professionals should be equipped with the concept of lifelong learning and constantly improve their professional and practical abilities to ensure that they keep pace with the latest theories and best practices around the world.
