AAQF is an entry-level certification geared to the needs of university students or recent graduates in finance or non-finance majors. AAQF aims at strengthening the synergy between industry groups and institutions of higher learning in the aspects of talent cultivation, major setup and internship base construction. AAQF provides students with Greaterly-advanced, industry-leading theoretical knowledge and practical skills, enriching their on-campus experiences and promoting their career edge.

Through the training and assessment of the AQFTM certification system, the AAQF holders shall be familiar with and master the Part I “Basics of Quantitative Finance” of the curriculum, so as to command the basic theories, practical skills and logical thinking required by modern quantitative financial analysis.

Application Requirements

College and university students or practitioners;

Anyone who meets one of the conditions above and obtains 90 credits by completing the recognized education can apply to take AAQF exam.

Education Requirements

Candidates for the AAQF examination should complete a 45-class/90-credit training course.

Examination Arrangement

  • Date:

    The AAQF examination would be held on the third Sunday of March and September every year. For students from cooperative institutions, the AAQF examination shall be combined into their final semester exams.

  • Time:

    9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

  • Locations:

    China. Examination sites in China are Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen currently. Other cities would be reached according to the distribution of candidates in the future.

    Other countries or regions. Examination sites in other countries depend on the notice of the exam.

    Cooperative institutions. Examination sites at cooperative institutions are limited to on-campus students.

Scoring and Results

Topics & Weights:
Part I “Basics of Quantitative Finance” of the curriculum (100%)

Exam Structure:
on-site, computer-based test (20 Multiple-choice Questions , 10 Multiple-choice Questions, 10 short-essay questions)

AAQF candidates who achieve at least a score of 60 on the comprehensive assessment are considered as qualified.
